For this collage I probably used about twenty different
images. The point of this collage is to show how bad pollution is affecting our
oceans and the creatures within it. I wanted this to be a powerful collage so I
tried my best to make it look as realistic as possible. I am not sure if it
really worked, but I feel I get my point across. I put a bunch of different
trash images within the Dolphin and the Turtle to show that animals are
mistaking our trash for food. The jellyfish in the background is wrapped in a
plastic bag to show how animals are getting caught in our trash and suffering
from it. In reality they are dying from the pollution. I also used all kinds of
plastic bottles and stuff to litter the ground to add to the affect. The quote
I used is from the song Big Yellow Taxi
by Joni Mitchell. I feel the line from this song fits well because if we do not
start getting our act together there will be a lot of negative problems that
result from it.
