Business Card

Here is the front and back of my business card. The front still needs a little work, but this is my general idea for my business card. I wanted to incorporate two of my pictures into my business card just to give a general idea as to what I take pictures of. I am also in love with elephants so I wanted them within my business card as well. So why not use two of my pictures that I have taken of elephants? I wanted the font and information to be simple and to the point so I just have my name, what kind of photography I specialize in, my email, phone number, and twitter account. I've noticed that a lot of business cards now include a twitter account because it is a quick way for people to find you and start contacting you.

Business Card Sketches

Here are my sketches for my business card. I have many ideas for my business card, but I really think I will end up using my photographs within my business card.

1) What is your business? Vitality Images is a photography business.

2) Describe your business in one sentence? This photography business specializes in photos of wild animals and nature.

3) Who is your target audience? Scientists, Animal/Nature lovers, kids, adults, very active outdoors people.

4) Who are your competitors? Other photographers focusing on the same thing.

5) What makes them better/worse than your product/service? It is not that anyone is better/worse at photography it is the fact that we all have different perspectives and see the world differently from one another.  I would like to share my perspective of the world with my audience.

6) Do you currently have an identity? I have already started to promote my photography, but with my individual name, not Vitality Images.

8) How do you want your image to be seen in two years? I want people to be able to see my view of the world, and how beautiful it is. I want people to feel different things when they look at my photos but I want them to take away from these photographs a love of nature and the want/need to protect it.

9) If your company was an animal, what animal would it be and why? If my company was an animal it would probably be an elephant because these mighty mammals are not only powerful, but are also caring and beautiful.

10) If your company/brand was a person, who would it be and why? Jacques-Yves Cousteau, because of his love of the planet, its environment, and the living things on it.

11) If your company/brand was an object, what would it be? It would be a durable, water proof, powerful camera.

12) If your customer was a cartoon character, who would it be? Captain Planet would hopefully be one of my customers, because of his love for the planet and the living things on it.

Lyrical Collage

For this collage I probably used about twenty different images. The point of this collage is to show how bad pollution is affecting our oceans and the creatures within it. I wanted this to be a powerful collage so I tried my best to make it look as realistic as possible. I am not sure if it really worked, but I feel I get my point across. I put a bunch of different trash images within the Dolphin and the Turtle to show that animals are mistaking our trash for food. The jellyfish in the background is wrapped in a plastic bag to show how animals are getting caught in our trash and suffering from it. In reality they are dying from the pollution. I also used all kinds of plastic bottles and stuff to litter the ground to add to the affect. The quote I used is from the song Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell. I feel the line from this song fits well because if we do not start getting our act together there will be a lot of negative problems that result from it.

In Hawaii? Nahh, I wish!

First picture is the edited version with me in Hawaii! :D I had to darken the brightness of my hair the on my arm from the sunshine in the original picture with me. I also had to adjust the colors of my picture to fit with the colors of the Hawaii picture. I intensified the saturation and brightened it up a little bit.

I really want to go to Hawaii!!!

Image

Above is a picture I took of a record on a record player at my house.Under is the original picture. I did this project through various stages. What I would do is work on one section of an image one day and then the next section on another day. I think I probably should have chosen a simpler image, but I was already so far with this image. I feel I  did an okay job. I had a very hard time with the shadows in the background. I used the layers tool quite a bit to do this image as well. I made a lot of different layers when I worked on the various sections of the photograph, which kind of save my life when doing this project.

Logo - Vitality Images

Here are my Logos

I really wanted a natural look for my logo.
I decided to make my main logo a camera with a flower as the flash because of my interest in nature, which is going to be my focus in photography. I made the camera green and yellow to kind of represent plant life and sunshine. I thought that if I made the camera my main logo I could put it in with other things, like my elephant below. Maybe when this image becomes more well known the camera would be able to stand out more with other images, like my elephant. That is at least what I hope to do.
I named my company Vitality Images because the word vitality relates to strength and power. Since I am focusing on nature I felt that vitality fit because of how powerful nature is. My logo doesn't look very powerful, but most things in nature don't. The most beautiful flower in the world could be the deadliest, like the Oleander.
